There has undoubtedly been a shift from paper invoices to electronic invoices in recent years, but this is actually only a half-step. It doesn&#039;t matter whether it&#039;s invoices sent to private clients once a month or invoices exchanged frequently and in large quantities by companies/institutions, **the best solution is always sending e-invoices**.## What are e-invoices and what are their advantages? [E-invoices are electronic invoices](https://grow.ee/wp-content/uploads/wp-mfa-exports/post/e-arve-kasitlustasu-5-korda-odavam-pdf-arvest.md), which can be read by machines, online banks and various software systems. In other words, it&#039;s not a PDF invoice that an accountant still has to enter into a program, but it&#039;s an **invoice that moves between programs automatically**. Although accountants or financial specialists must also check what is included in this account, processing such an invoice takes many times less time. In addition, an easier-to-read PDF invoice always travels with e-invoices! By saving time from struggling with invoices, the company manager can better utilize the potential of his or her trained specialists. **An accountant does not have to be a data entry person**. Setting up an e-invoice system can take only a few hours, so there is no basis for the myth that it is a time-consuming and work-inhibiting activity. With good software, the transition is quick and painless.## The situation in the e-state in Estonia Compared to Finland, for example, the share of e-invoices is indeed many times smaller here. Fortunately, the share of paper invoices is decreasing year by year and **the share of e-invoices is increasing**, but this increase could be faster. Since this has also begun to be paid attention to at the national level, there is no longer any doubt that **e-invoices are the future**.
