The address service is often used when you do not want to set your home address as the company's address. For each company, there is no need to rent a separate office, the address of which could be used as the company's address. The address service is not an office rental service and does not give the right to use the premises at the address of the company. ### Legal address is mandatory Every company registered in Estonia is obliged to have a legal address, even if the company's founders are not citizens of the Republic of Estonia. If an Estonian company has a legal address abroad, a contact person must be assigned. ## Contact person service ### When to use the contact person service? The contact person service is intended for companies with an address located abroad. The [Commercial Act](https://www.riigiteataja.ee/akt/123122022033?leiaKehtiv) stipulates that a company with an address located abroad is obliged to appoint a contact person in Estonia. The contact person must also be registered in the Commercial Register. When registering a contact person, their address and contact details become the company's official address and contact details. A non-resident cannot establish a company in Estonia without a contact person. This is checked both at a notary and when applying for company registration. If there is no contact person, the Commercial Register sets a deadline within which a contact person must be found for the company. ### Contact person's task The contact person's task is to deliver the company's procedural documents and declarations of intent addressed to the company. This means that all official documents are sent to the contact person's address and it is assumed that the contact person will forward notifications to the company. The contact person is the company's representative in Estonia, but his rights are limited only to receiving documents addressed to the company. The person providing the contact person service may not make transactions on behalf of the company. ## Who can be a contact person? Only institutions specified in the law can be appointed as contact persons.
