VAT rate change as from 01.01.2024

Käibemaksumäära muudatus

Alates 01.01.2024 on Eestis käibemaksu standardmäär 22%, senise 20% asemel.

Kui tehingu toimumine langeb aastavahetusele 2023/2024, siis rakendatakse käibemaksumäära sõltuvalt käibe toimumise ajast ehk millal tehakse ettemaks või toimetatakse kätte kaubad või osutatakse teenus.

Muudatusega seoses on kehtestatud üleminekusäte, mis puudutab pikaajalisi lepinguid (eeskätt liisinglepingud ja kinnisasjadega seotud tehingud): kuni 2025. aasta 31. detsembrini on õigus enne 2023. aasta 1. maid sõlmitud kirjaliku lepingu alusel kohaldada maksustatava kauba/teenuse müügil 20% käibemaksumäära, kui leping näeb ette, et kauba/teenuse hind sisaldab käibemaksu või hinnale lisandub 20% käibemaks ning lepinguga ei ole ette nähtud käibemaksumäära võimalikust muutusest tulenevat hinna muutust.
